Gotham Nights are happy to once again present for you the Norwegian band Malice in Wonderland. Hailed as the most decadent band in Norway, they are sure to please those who are seduced by bands such as Sisters of Mercy, Depeche Mode and HIM. Malice in Wonderland offers a blend of attitude and heavy guitars combined with melody, feelings and catchy tunes. This combined with a strong visual image, Malice In Wonderland intend to take every aspects of glamour back into rock n’ roll. Being way over-the-top and having an outrageous passion for glitter, glamour and decadence one might wonder just how serious this can be. "Despite what many people like to think, we don't take ourselves that seriously," Chri$ Wicked says "however, we do take our music very seriously and that's how it's supposed to be!"
With their debut album they've done it all Malice In Wonderland style and made one hell of a bombastic masterpiece. Rather than sticking to today's trends, the band gets most of their inspiration from the 80s and they certainly aren't afraid of using a clishé for what it's worth. The album's 10 songs show every side of the band, from classic hard rock to more experimental pieces. The band has already made a name for themselves in goth, glam and rock circles around the world. LINE-UP Chri$ Wicked: Vocals Andy Valentine: Guitars, keys Tracy Loveless: Guitars Eric Black: Bass Tommy Gun: Drums And as support this evening we present Where Angels Fall (N). The first chapter in the Book of the Fallen was written in december 2003 when André and Ole Kristian met for the first time to form a band through which their musical ideas could be channeled. Both being fans of dark, yet melodic music, they set out to gather some musicians that shared their passion for this music. Four months later they had recruited Eirin and her angelic voice, bassplayer Kristian and Tom Remi. Shortly after, Where Angels Fall went into JL Studios to record their debut EP that was released early autumn 2004. |
