Special appearance by a male vocal group singing music
from the Middle Ages

Christmas is here, and it is yet again time for the coziest Gotham Nights of the whole year. Well, there will be possibilities for some partying as well, off course :-). Anyway, there are quite a few unusual things happening this time:

Firstly, we will have a live performance this time - it sure has been awhile - but it is not what you all probably are all that used to. No electric guitars, no drum machines, no moping goths trying to look scary. This time we have got a male choir to sing for us, unplugged, doing material written in the Middle Ages. They will both do worldly music, and a mass written by Mauchaut - it is almost like Gregorian Chants, but still not. This is a kind of music that you ordinarily would only be able to hear in churches, preferably cathedrals so we though it would be a novelty trying this out in a club venue. I assure you, this a very rare happening. Note that the concert starts as early as 22:30.

Secondly, we will, as the last few years, be serving free "gløgg" (red wine with spices and raisins) and "pepperkaker" (equiv. to ginger bread) to get you all in the right mood. There will also, as usual, be DJ's, e.g. our residence DJ BatKat.

All this is backed up by decorations, a lot of candles and smoke, getting the right melancholic, and cozy, mood. Picture our "monks" singing in that setting. I am sure looking forward to it.

I welcome you, whoever you are, to join us in our dark, but yet cosy little sanctuary. Gotham Nights is all about people enjoying the music in a delicate and friendly atmosphere with a dance floor that, hopefully, will be packed all night. And, for those of you who are not familiar with goth and Gotham Nights; there is no dress code, and no sacrificing of little children--Gotham Nights is for all of you who enjoy music which is somewhat darker and more melodious than the terrible stuff on the hit-lists.

The location is CURB (Custom Rock Bar) at Storgata 22. The doors will open at 21:00 and the cover charge is set to 50 NOK plus 10 NOK in members fee. The age limit is 18.
