This year the world is doomed to go under on the 11th of August, at least according to alternative interpretations of good old Nostradamus. This might have something to do with the most powerful solar eclipse in 400 years crossing over Europe. Such a jolly occasion can not go by unnoticed, and the gloomy gang at Gotham Nights invites to party and concerts in a suitably decorated basement of the Oslo club So What! Nostradamus

The first band of the evening is brand new. god.com consists of, among others, Mark Francombe from the famous English band, the Cranes, and according to themselves, they play "kinda noise trance mantra". View, the saddest band in the world; a.k.a. View, the baddest sand in the sea; may not need further introduction, but they have been compared to bands like Red House Painters and This Mortal Coil.

Madder Mortem And what would a day like this, which might turn out to be the doomsday, be without a doom band? This is taken care of by the last band of the evening, Madder Mortem. MM have played together since 1993, and released their debut CD "Mercury" on Misanthropy Records in February this year. MM plays haunting and powerful doom/goth metal, and stands out by Agnete M. Kirkevaag´s wonderful voice.

Between the bands you will be entertained by dj BatKat. So, don´t miss this once-in-a-lifetime(!?) opportunity to celebrate the end of the world, or just another survival...
