The Cold

The Cold

Saturday 27th February

It has been said about The Cold that this band misses the gene that grants the ability to play happy music... They preserve the brilliant touch from the melancholic side of the 80s post-punk and indie. Influences from bands like The Cure, New Order and Joy Division are clearly present in The Colds magnificent and complex compositions. Their music never comes off as pitiful imitations, but a perfect balance of melody and harmony with amorous angst and melancholic undertones. It leaves the listener more than satisfied between the past and the present. You want to know what it was like or remember how it was in the early post-punk and new wave 80s? Then The Cold will take you by the hand and guide you back!

The Exploding Boy

The Exploding Boy

Friday 26th February

The new wave of the 1980's has clearly been a source of inspiration for the band. And just like new wave had strong pop appeal, so has The Exploding Boy with their strong and catchy melodies.

Their music is melancholic art for the new generation of indie freaks growing up with great bands like Interpol and The Editors. The Exploding Boy stands for an indie-wave-rock style that will also appeal to fans of The Cure and The Chameleons.

Their 2009 album "Afterglow" has been praised as 'Album of the Year' by belgian and french alternative music press.

Voltaire

Voltaire

Saturday 27th February

A real modern day renaissance man. Or in his own words; the worlds greatest neo-Victorian gypsy pirate vaudville artist. Musician, singer/songwriter, stand-up comedian, artist, writer, creator of toys and comic books, director of animation short films and commercials(MTV and Sci-Fi channel amongst others).

All of this has made Voltaire the biggest gothicon of today, which is reflected in the fact that TV networks such as CNN and CNBC use him as a source and spokesman for alternative youthculture.

Zensor

Zensor

Friday 26th February

Zensor overwhelmed everyone when they emerged in 2000 with a hardhitting blend of industrial, goth and metal with a clear link to bands such as Nine Inch Nails and Ministry. They painted dystopian, industrial landscapes combined with a raw power and strong melodies and a hypnotic liveshow as their trademark. After a few years of silence it is our greatest pleasure to have them back on stage with brand new material and stronger than ever!
